View in browser Luxury Open Concept Home With Pool & Party Room In Brazil Located in a residential area of São Paulo, Brazil, the design concept for this luxury 1280 square metre home all started with the swimming pool. Designed by Matheus Farah + Manoel Maia Arquitetura, this luxurious home design centres around a huge pool that can be seen from the majority of rooms in the house, where the easy indoor-outdoor living style is bestowed. The architecture of Ibsen House was created to facilitate shared moments and connected living by way of impressively large sliding walls, whilst also providing intimate privacy. The home's most private space is located underground, where special neon lighting and acoustic treatments shape the Redroom, the ultimate party hideaway. Retractable walls break open the large open plan living space, fully connecting the luxurious living room with the expansive pool terrace and gardens. A wooden volume is suspended above the kitchen diner area. Its solid wooden facade peels back with two sets of bifold shutters to reveal a modern home office space. To maintain the suspended wooden block appearance, the ceiling of the home office is also completely wood clad. Bookshelves draw colour across the back wall. At dusk, the vast vertical garden walls are illuminated to surround the open sided home with lush greenery even after dark. The tropical leaves grow dramatic texture and form to feather the edges of the linear modern architecture. The open layout is a coordinated plan of colour, materials and connected functionality that maintains a close relationship with the outer environment. The layout is almost free of fixed walls. The vertical gardens and large sliding panels divide the living spaces, creating tranquil hybrid areas that cause crossed encounters. At one end of the luxurious living room, a TV lounge is furnished with a massive bookcase that explodes colour into the grey white and wood tone decor scheme. Deep blue accent pieces provide further disruption from the neutral palette, by way of scatter cushions and statement chairs. A large area rug defines the comfortable lounge area from the rest of the open plan by forming a cosy island of light colour and soft texture underfoot. A formal dining area runs alongside the lengthy kitchen island at the other side of the room. The underside of the wood-clad suspended home office volume is reflected by a solid wood kitchen island countertop. A concrete base builds cool contrast. A second lounge is situated out on the decked terrace, right up by the swimming pool. A piece of modern art basks in the sunlight. The exterior arrangement of commanding blocks are interrupted by more vertical gardens that harmoniously meld the volumes with the tropical surroundings. The architecture and planting guarantee intimate discretion. Red outdoor furniture upholstery marks the change in zone from the cool blue accented interior. A rooftop deck adds to the house's leisure areas. On the other side of the social volume, doors on longitudinal tracks open to connect with an outdoor dining room. Moving to the upper floor, we see the suspended home office from the inside. When closed, the wood slatted shutters create a private cocoon. Once opened up, the modern home office comes alive with natural sunlight. A bespoke built-in desk, storage units and wall shelves fill the full length of the narrow workspace. A small indoor lounge and kitchen adjoin with the roof terrace. The rooftop social areas offer a privileged view over the local neighbourhood. Guest rooms and other private facilities overlook the pool through large windows. An outdoor dining set, outdoor sofas and a large jacuzzi are set upon a parade of wood decking, whilst a set of sun loungers recline upon a grassy verge. Going underground, not only does the house hold a fitness room and a large garage but there is access to the hidden Redroom. Atmospheric red lighting and special acoustic treatments facilitate an ideal location for the homeowner's private parties. Red neon lights stripe the ceiling and walls of the party room, creating a glitzy nightclub appearance. An illuminated bar brightly strikes down the length of the space, making backlit silhouettes of the modern bar stools. A big TV screen is set in place for sports and events. The wood slatted shutters that reinstate privacy cross the wide open sided volumes cause attractive light play upon the interiors. Vertical gardens and tall tropical trees afford glass walled rooms with sunlight-filled privacy. Exterior stairs link the terraces. The ground floor plan makes an L-shaped arrangement around the edge of the rectangular swimming pool, placing the master suite perpendicular to the main living room. Two stylish lounge chairs and a small table make a perfect spot for morning coffee on the bedroom deck. The suspended deck is created by the supporting structure of the bedroom's wide wood slatted privacy shutters. Sleek white marble fashions a luxe bathroom interior, where black fixtures & fittings and a black toilet pan provide dark accents. A square skylight opens up the ceiling to natural daylight. Clad in honey-toned timber, the contemporary home exterior warmly contrasts the clear blue skies. Section drawing. Today, we're taking a look at three wonderfully unique & colourful home interiors that communicate quirky creativity and fabulous fun. Our first featured home interior is a vibrant purple-based Ibizan pad with futuristic curves and fashionable terrazzo decor elements. We move next to Russia, where a riveting interior decor scheme incorporates the rainbow into a small studio layout. Finally we climb to new heights of colour incorporation in a home with a bespoke red spiral staircase and a green courtyard, and a host of modern furniture inspo to match. Architect: Reutov Design Located in Ibiza, Spain, this unique and colourful home design measures 300 square metres. Inspired by the extraterrestrial landscapes of Lanzarote combined with the naturally bright colours of Ibiza, a light futuristic interior was created. Lilac walls, a purple sofa and a matching ottoman give the space an energised base colour, whilst glossy blue accents and bold terrazzo pattern enrich the scheme. Wood was omitted from the project to preserve nature. Instead, glossy perspex and metallics form the accents. A small side table threads a chrome accent through the sectional sofa arrangement, where it reflects the purple upholstery. Large windows and edge-to-edge doors connect the interior with the beauty of the island. The concept for this home design considered a future where man and nature coexist harmoniously. The result is a dwelling that feels like it could be located on another planet. Bespoke furniture was designed to emphasize the futurism of the interior, much of it in colourful terrazzo. Mint green upholstered dining chairs draw colour inspiration from the green chips in the terrazzo. A circular window cuts open a view of the terrace, where a perforated canopy filters the sunshine. Two orb pendant lights complement the round window and the smooth contours of the terrazzo dining table. Terrazzo pattern colours a row of rounded kitchen units at the back of the living room. A ribbed kitchen island holds a contrasting clean white finish and an eye-catching purple countertop. Ribbed purple panelling provides a textured backdrop for the arched kitchen cabinets. See more inspiration for using arches in interiors. A colour coordinated purple sink and kitchen faucet meld with the bright worktop. In the purple hallway, an arid courtyard basks in the sunlight that spills through a round skylight above it. The double sink bathroom vanity setup is framed by elegant terrazzo and mirrored arches. Bespoke terrazzo and blue glass pedestal sinks are accessorised with unique purple freestanding faucets. Terrazzo tile fills the shower area, behind a blue tinted glass shower screen. A manmade cactus stands by to catch discarded clothes or fresh towels. Purple panelling covers a bathroom feature wall and disguises the door. Visualizer: Rita Koryakina This 52.02 square metre studio apartment is located in Korolev, Russia. A rainbow of accent colours work to zone different areas around the small home. A pink kitchen island floats all alone at the centre of the space, whilst a purple gradient frames the kitchen tower units. The tufted sofa sets down an earthy beige moment amidst the myriad coloured accent pieces. The bedroom area of the studio apartment is revealed from behind a sliding bright orange screen. The interior of the bedroom is a desaturated decor scheme of only grey and white. The purple kitchen cabinets continue on down the hallway of the home, where they create a bright first impression by the entry door. Textured area rugs layer cosy colour across the lounge floor. A console table reflects both the pink colourway and the curves of the kitchen island at the back of the room. Colourful decorative vases adorn the top of the floating console unit, along with a collection of design books and interesting art prints. A modern home office desk stands on sapphire blue legs by the window. Mirror and hammered steel panels reflect the colours of the room, and reflect natural light deep into the space. The plain white dining room pendant light threads across a cool concrete ceiling, which serves to counterbalance the multicoloured furniture. Indoor plants grow a blast of greenery around the dining area and across the metal covered window sill. Black and white quartz streaks across the pink kitchen island. A black kitchen tap darkly accentuates the black vein. Atmospheric light glows in the home entryway. A perspex shelf lightly underlines a freeform decorative wall mirror with a slick of light iridescence. Vivid artwork brings the home to life. Designer: Ibrahim Beqiri Our final unique home interior features a bespoke staircase design born from the client's wish for stairs with light visuality, and the designer's vision of a core sculptural piece for the house. The staircase design shapes a modular wave of red treads above a small green courtyard. The spiral staircase and complementary stepped courtyard design inspire an interior of contrasting red and green furniture and decor. The contemporary-parametric spiral winds up through different levels of the house, driving the bright red accent colour with it. The bold colour story gives the home a unique identity. Red and green artwork echo the colour and profile of the Harmonic Stairs. Clean white walls and light wood tone give the brighter elements space to breathe and command.
