A Unique LA Home With Arcade Wall Graphics: Interior Design Ideas |
A Unique LA Home With Arcade Wall Graphics Posted: 06 Sep 2011 11:02 AM PDT Brazilian designer, Guilherme Torres has designed this unique home in Los Angeles, CA. The exterior of the house is defined by a long, white rectangular structure that comprises the first floor, and a square-shaped, wooden structure mounted perpendicularly to the white, is what would be considered to be the second floor. The interiors are sleek and minimalistic – arcade wall graphics and plush furniture and rugs decorate the living room, beautiful, dark brown wood composes the kitchen cabinetry and dining table while a yellow counter offset it, and concrete dresses the steps and floors to provide an industrial vibe. The architecture seems to be inspired by cubism and by 80′s era arcade games. The house is all at once – harshly geometric and simple, yet luxurious and sleek. The metal and concrete materials add an industrial quality, yet the wooden exteriors offer naturalistic, earthy relief. For more regular updates from Home Designing, join us on Facebook.
