Gold accents, luxurious marble, and wood tone elements fashion these two uber stylish family home designs. We'll tour two very different living space layouts, each with its own light and luxe aesthetic, complete with two gloriously chic kitchen designs. The luxe marble, gold and wood tone palette is carried on through into a host of fabulous bedroom designs, including an adorable kids room with antique rose and arch elements. Beautiful bathrooms come last but not least, where high-end finishes make the very most of limited dimensions. A plethora of custom furniture designs are set to inspire here too, as well as elegant lighting ideas and eye-catching feature walls.
This home design began as two apartments, measuring 33 and 74 square metres. The two properties were joined and reconfigured to suit a young married couple with two children. The living room carries design traditions from French classic apartments, under a chic palette of white marble, gold, and wood tone. A luxurious marble feature wall dominates, and round coffee tables pull the aesthetic into the centre of the room.
Chic bookcases rise at either side of the white marble clad TV wall. The arrangement of staggered shelves display gold decorative vases and gold candlesticks. A gold wall sconce shines above the wall-mounted TV screen.
A designer living room chair is upholstered in pure white fabric for a high-end look that ties in with the marble accents.
A modern fireplace divides the lounge area from the kitchen diner. An eye-catching dining room chandelier illuminates the bespoke dining table.
Wooden casings draw attention to the deep set windows, giving them an attractive and bespoke finish that coordinates handsomely with the kitchen that spans the opposite wall.
A large glass vase makes a light-reflective table centrepiece, which is filled with elegant white buds.
A gold sink makes stunning contrast against the white marble countertop. An induction hob with an integrated extractor keeps the kitchen layout streamlined.
An extra bedroom was added to the apartment to accommodate all of the family members. Storage areas were reduced but the separate master suite with an ensuite and dressing room has been preserved. Each bedroom features a soothing milky white, beige and grey colour scheme and a modern chandelier as the focal point.
Wood chevron flooring runs throughout each bedroom and living space in the family apartment.
Our second home design features a fully open plan living space and staircase arrangement. A beige living room rug softly defines the lounge area within the free-flowing layout, whilst two colour coordinated modern sofas draw out the perimeter.
A coffee table book and a metallic bird figurine adorn two round modern coffee tables at the centre of the cosy lounge arrangement.
A gold designer table lamp adds atmospheric light upon a black side table that is integrated into the contrasting cream sofa.
The black table accent inspires a black upholstered lounge chair with ottoman over in the reading corner. A unique floor lamp brings in the gold element.
Four upholstered dining chairs are teamed with a bespoke dining table design that is shaped around a small kitchen peninsula that houses the sink.
Three racetrack-shaped dining room pendant lights drip gold accents over the eating area to give it a bolder presence in the open plan arrangement.
In the home entryway, a round mirror is situated above a simple white floating console unit to fashion a practical dressing and drop zone by the front door.
Decorative gold wall hooks are mounted at one side of a row of hallway storage units, whilst a stylish entry stool and full-length mirror are situated at the other.
Inside the master suite, a platform bed has a floating effect over a plush grey bedroom rug.
A white marble headboard wall separates the sleep space from the dressing area.
A play bunk and a daybed offer flexible options for sleepovers and playdates. See more ideas for kids' beds here.
Built-in wardrobes alternate pink and wood tone finishes.
A bedside table tucks neatly beneath the stairs that climb to the top bunk, providing a neat place for bedtime books and a wake-up alarm. See more unique desk clocks.
The final bathroom is small but beautifully formed with the texture of tiny mosaic tiles and crisp white bathroom fixtures.
