The premium located host house, Mälaren Borgen, forms an unmistakable part of Maria mountain’s silhouette, which in itself is a historically important property that was built in 1889 according to Gustaf Hermansson’s drawings. The Swedish artist Eugène Jansson–also known as the Blue Painter, or "blåmålaren", for his night-time land and cityscapes that were dominated by shades of blue–had his home there.
